Getting to know Dibba

Dibba sits at the northern end of the east coast, where three territories meet: Dibba Al Fujairah, Dibba Al Hisn, which belongs to Sharjah, and Dibba Al Baya, part of the Omani governorate of Musandam. The town grew around a fertile plain between the mountains and the sea.

It is known for its diving sites and for dhow trips along the Musandam fjords; crossing into the Omani side requires the relevant entry formalities. Al Bidya Mosque, the oldest mosque still in use in the country, lies on the coast road to the south.
